Overview

Amplemarket's CloudTalk integration brings cloud-based calling directly into your sales workflow. CloudTalk is a cloud phone system, not a parallel dialer, designed for teams that need reliable calling infrastructure with features like international numbers, call routing, and call management.

Once an admin configures the integration (a one-time setup), every rep on the team can click-to-call any prospect from within Amplemarket. Calls are placed through CloudTalk's infrastructure and logged in Amplemarket's activity feed. When a call task comes up in a sequence, reps see the contact's name, title, company, local time, country, LinkedIn/CRM links, and previous engagement metrics, then dial with one click. After the call, they select a disposition and the sequence advances automatically.

Unlike parallel dialers such as Nooks, Orum, or Trellus, which focus on high-volume simultaneous dialing, CloudTalk is built for single-line conversations. If your team needs to dial 5-10 numbers at once, consider a parallel dialer. If you need a dedicated cloud phone system with international number support and the ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls, CloudTalk is the right fit.

What you can do

  • Click-to-call from Amplemarket Select a phone number from a contact's profile and click "Call." CloudTalk opens automatically with the contact's information pre-filled. Both the CloudTalk Click-to-Call browser extension and Amplemarket extension must be installed.
  • Rich call task context When executing call tasks in sequences, reps see the contact's name, title, company, website, local time, country, LinkedIn/Amplemarket/CRM profile links, email open rates, and previous call counts, all before picking up the phone.
  • Disposition-based sequence progression After each call, reps select a call disposition. The "Complete" action finishes the task and advances the contact to the next sequence stage. "Reschedule" lets reps defer to a future date while keeping disposition data. "Skip" progresses through the sequence without making contact.
  • Call activity logging Call entries appear in the contact's activity log in Amplemarket. Dispositions and notes are saved and sync to the contact record, giving your team full conversation history.
  • Phone number selection Before dialing, reps can choose between multiple available phone numbers, including local numbers for different regions to improve pick-up rates.
  • One-time admin setup An admin configures the integration once by generating CloudTalk API keys and sharing them with the Amplemarket team. After that, all users on the account can use CloudTalk calling within Amplemarket.

How it works

  1. Generate API keys An admin logs into the CloudTalk dashboard, navigates to Account Settings, then API Keys, and clicks "+ Add API Key." This generates an Access Key ID and Access Key Secret.
  2. Share with Amplemarket Send the CloudTalk API credentials to the Amplemarket team for backend configuration. This is a one-time setup. Once connected, all users on the account can use CloudTalk within Amplemarket.
  3. Install extensions and call Each rep installs both the CloudTalk Click-to-Call browser extension and the Amplemarket extension. Enable "Automatically dial Click-to-call numbers" in CloudTalk Phone settings (Settings > Calling > Call automation). Then click-to-call any contact from Amplemarket. Calls route through CloudTalk, and dispositions sync back to advance sequences.

Inbound and outbound calling from one workspace

Your SDR team runs outbound sequences through Amplemarket that include call steps. When reps reach a call step, they click-to-call through CloudTalk. If a prospect misses the call and calls back later, CloudTalk routes the inbound call to the same rep and logs it in Amplemarket. Managers see the full call history, outbound attempts and inbound callbacks, in one place.

Call recording for sales coaching

Your sales manager reviews CloudTalk recordings from the past week to prepare for 1-on-1 coaching sessions. Calls are filtered by rep and outcome in Amplemarket's Calls tab. The manager identifies three calls where a rep struggled with objection handling, pulls the recordings, and uses them as coaching material, all without asking the rep to self-report.

International prospecting with local numbers

Your team is expanding into European markets. CloudTalk provides local phone numbers in Germany, France, and the UK. Reps calling from Amplemarket use the matching local number for each country, improving pick-up rates compared to calling from a US number. All calls are logged and recorded in Amplemarket regardless of the calling region.
