Overview

Amplemarket connects to ChatGPT through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), giving you access to your full sales database from within any ChatGPT conversation. Instead of toggling between tools, you can search for prospects, pull contact details, review outreach history, and build lead lists by asking ChatGPT in plain English.

This is not a ChatGPT plugin or a limited connector. MCP gives ChatGPT direct, authenticated access to Amplemarket's core functionality: people search, company search, contact enrichment, lead list management, and analytics. Every response uses your real Amplemarket data, not a generic LLM guess. For sales reps, prospecting becomes a conversation. For sales leaders, pulling performance data is as fast as asking a question.

  • Search for prospects conversationally Describe your ideal customer profile in natural language and get matching results from Amplemarket's database. Refine by adding criteria like "Now narrow that to people who changed jobs in the last 6 months."
  • Enrich any contact or company Paste a name, email, or LinkedIn URL into ChatGPT and get the full Amplemarket profile: title, company, industry, employee count, tech stack, and contact details.
  • Build and manage lead lists Create new lists, add qualified leads, and organize prospects from the ChatGPT interface. Save lists for later sequence enrollment in Amplemarket.

How it works

  1. Open ChatGPT Use ChatGPT on web (chatgpt.com) or the desktop app. MCP integrations work in both.
  2. Add Amplemarket In ChatGPT's settings or when prompted, add the Amplemarket MCP server. Sign in with your Amplemarket account. No API keys needed, OAuth 2.0 handles authentication.
  3. Start prospecting Type a query like "Find 50 Directors of Sales at SaaS companies in the Bay Area with 100-500 employees" and ChatGPT will search Amplemarket's database and return results directly in the conversation.

Add the Amplemarket MCP server in ChatGPT's integration settings using the URL https://mcp.amplemarket.com/mcp. When prompted, sign in with your Amplemarket account. The connection is live in under a minute. No API keys, no developer setup, no configuration files.

MCP support in ChatGPT requires a ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Enterprise subscription. The free tier of ChatGPT does not currently support MCP integrations. The Amplemarket side of the connection is included with your Amplemarket subscription at no extra cost.

Your data is transmitted securely via the MCP protocol with OAuth 2.0 authentication. Amplemarket data is not used to train OpenAI's models. The MCP connection only provides data in response to your specific queries, using your account's access permissions. Review OpenAI's data usage policy for ChatGPT Team and Enterprise plans for additional privacy controls.

Without Amplemarket, ChatGPT can only discuss sales prospecting in general terms. It has no access to real prospect data, your contact database, or your team's outreach history. With the MCP connection, ChatGPT can search actual prospects, return verified contact details, check activity history, and build lists you can act on in Amplemarket. Every response is based on your live data.

Not yet, but it's on the roadmap. Currently, you can search, enrich, and build lead lists from ChatGPT. Sequence enrollment will be added to the MCP server in a future update. For now, save your leads to a list in ChatGPT, then enroll that list in a sequence from the Amplemarket app.
