  • Add conditions. Start with “Has phone number” to route correctly.
  • Place at the end of your Sequence. Because we don’t track replies in WhatsApp/iMessage, keeping these stages last avoids unintended follow‑ups.
  • Keep messages short, human, and contextual. One soft CTA is enough.

Important notes

  • Amplemarket does not send messages on your behalf; you send from your own app and number.
  • Replies, opens, and deliveries are not tracked in Amplemarket.
  • Do not use these stages for mass messaging or cold outreach; spamming can get your number flagged.
  • Prerequisites: a valid phone number for the prospect, and an active WhatsApp Web session or iMessage account on your device.

Let’s walk through a scenario where iMessage/WhatsApp Stage is used

Scenario: You want to create a follow-up sequence for highly interested prospects you met with.

You met a prospect at SaaStr, had a positive follow-up call, and they accepted your connection. You want to add a WhatsApp message to the sequence.

You edit an active sequence and add the WhatsApp stage inside Amplemarket.

Generally, personal text messages via WhatsApp or iMessage work best when used for high-value, warm prospects.

Like the example scenario below, try adding a WhatsApp or iMessage Stage right after an email or phone call, 1 or 2 days later:
